My first post for 2012! It's February already! January passed by without knowing. 2011 had been a fruitful year! May 2012 be an interesting and exciting year too, lots of new discoveries for me to go and explore! Made many new friends and colleagues in 2011, what's so great was that, they're all nice people! There are still many many good souls around!(: Give and Take - essence to maintaining any relationship :D Not forgetting my friends who are always there, may we have more meet ups and gatherings!

Most importantly, my family! Although, CNY this year was a bit boring but I witnessed what's the true meaning of kinship and the bond between one another could be brought closer due to an incident. It's through those 'incidents' that we feel and get 'touched' by another person/people that you want to 'build' and 'mantain' your relationship with that person/people. (:

Passion is the intrinsic motivation that push you to go further :D

Have you heard of Tangram before? Tangram is an ancient chinese puzzle game with endless pattern formations! It is made up of 7 pieces and the word "Tangram" is also made up of seven letters! hehe! Such an interesting invention! :D haha! What's more is that there's no right or wrong in this game! It's all up to your creativity!

I only get to know about this "toy/game" recently! My colleague introduced this game to me, thanks a lot!! (: Kind of like it very much! I'm using it for my assignment for my play module! To prove that it is appropriate for children aged 6 and below, I get my cousin to help me to play this game! (: I'm impressed, she was able to construct designs which I didnt even know how to construct out of the 7 pieces of puzzle! (; Clapssss!!! Never underestimate a child!

hehe! i also tried playing with it and during my first attempt, i constructed a kangaroo! After a while, when i tried to construct a kangaroo again, i couldn't do it -.-"!

Children nowadays are too tied down by assignments, workbooks, worksheets! But the truth is that, children learn through play, meaningful play! It is through meaning play that they understand mathematical concepts by themselves and this will build a strong foundation in their primary school education! haha! no wonder children or even adults Hate Math in sch, because mathematical concepts are ''drilled into their brain by force"!

It's taking too long for the tangram to be delivered to my house and thus, i tried making it by myself! phew! luckily, I managed to do it!

Today is the first lesson for a brand new module!(: - learning through play in children. Kind of like this module even before i attend it today, because somehow or somewhat i can anticipate that it will be a very interesting and "wow" module! What makes me more "WOW" was when I saw the lecturer today!

I like the way she speaks, the way she present herself and also the way she carry out her lesson! I can guarantee that for her 13 sessions, i will not fall asleep! I love her humorous, dramatic and fun personality and not forgetting her VOICE! (: what's more is that she has that X-FACTOR in her that draws people's attention to whatever she says, it sounds a bit exaggerating though, but it's pretty true (:

Lesson learnt - be dramatic and exaggerating so that you will be able to attract the attention of the preschoolers. haha! :D Not easy ~

Outing to West Coast Park today!! been so long since we had an outing again!! hehe! smiles on the children's faces when they came to school!! some were so excited that they woke up earlier than usual!! HEHEHE! (: I guess they were just too happy! (: indeed,they need some outdoor activities to bring out the liveliness in them, though they had been so " active" in school already! played sand and blow bubbles! it's been quite some time since i last went to a park too! it's tiring but at the end of the day,i felt happy too! (: One of the boy was super cute and funny, he was so afraid of the bubbles! i'm wondering why is he so afraid of the bubbles... why? why? why? HAHAHA! My colleague tried blowing the bubbles towards him and he hid behind me!! hehehe! He said " Dont want, scared scared!" He's a lovable boy! (: HEHEHE! this is drawn by my 6 years old cousin! awesome! i like the colour combination and the "spacing" and "positioning" of the different objects! i like this drawing and i'm impressed! haha! though it is just a simple drawing , it tells me a lot of things about her character! "a picture tells a thousand words"!

from her drawing i feel that she is...

1. a balanced person( equal number of trees,clouds, houses and butterflies were drawn on both sides).

2. A happy person? ( vibrant colours were used ,the butterflies were drawn, and the smiley face of the girls)

3. A confident girl?(features of the people were all drawn on the face)

4. Not to mention,she's very organized in her drawing and she is very expressive as she is able to express her thoughts out well(: great job!

Christmas this year was great! (((: celebrated with secondary school cliques, poly friends and company! first time performing and putting up a "play" for Christmas! mehhhhh....being a Shepherd together with all the small sheep.. a fruitful and meaningful one! (:

completed the first aid course! (: i really enjoyed the 3 days with my colleagues/friends. had a group scenario practical,we need to act like it's the real "scene" with the different injuries. everyone will have a chance to be victim and rescuer, the facilitator is super "drama" he asked us to scream and shout and he even scream together, his main aim was to make us panic!

HAHAHA! my group was quite calm, for me i was so "into" the scenario that when i came out of the room,i didn't remember any shouting and screaming! i only remembered what i did to help the victim!

moral of of the story : dont think too much and have common sense when you're helping someone! think too much = scared = panic = OMG! then how?

ignorance and being blur is bliss! not knowing something is often more comfortable than knowing it. life should be like this, then everyday will be a minimum curve! (:

Attended first aid course these two days! i thought it will be very boring but surprisingly i like it!i find it interesting especially the part whereby we get to do the CPR with the dummy and BABY dummy! i always see how people do it in real life on real person on the tv and now,i get to do it on the dummy! hehehe! it's fun doing it with the dummy but when it comes to real person... HAHA... not everyone will have the courage and confident to do it right? :D coz many people got the "bo chap" attitude and the "kiasi" mindset... who knows maybe i am one of them too..hehe.. it's easier said than done... -.-

i'm glad that the facilitators are jovial and humorous if not i will surely doze off! they shared their experiences and encounters with us and i learnt a lot.. they're lives savers (: thumbs up! ~ it's great that i attended it with my colleagues, it's fun and nice to be with them! they spiced up my day if not i will be bored to death if i'm attending it alone! (:

luckily it's a 3 FULL DAYS course which is held on weekends! get over it and done with it! hate things that drag on and on coz it can be super tiring! fast fast chop chop get over it! :D that's the way! hehe..had two practical test already and i have cleared them! what's left is one more theory and one more practical test! :D i feel so "enriched".. i guess i'm that "type" of person who will want to learn more and know more in order to have an enriching life.. i dont like a life that stays there forever without learning and gaining more knowledge... it's so plain and boring... :D i want to be a sponge! hehe ~

next week gonna be a busy week! work. course. company bbq + chalet! wonder how it will be like...

i believe that in this world , there's no one child that is so bad that cannot be "taught well" ! it's only the parents & teachers who dunno how to teach! :p no offence! haha!

it's of no use forcing the child to do what they dont like,it doesnt benefit any party at all! on the other hand, it might only cause "side effects"! ~ forced out the devil in them! hehe...and by that time,you'll be at a loss of what to do to rectify the problem! ~ seek counselors' help!

i'm astounded to find out that a teacher actually threw a student's bag out of the classroom IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS ! i was like WTH! x million times! ANGRY LO! what kind of teacher is that! -.- please la,no matter how the student has provoked you,how angry & agitated a teacher is, i dun think they have the right to do this to a child! ever wonder what's the consequences that will result from this incident?!

a child will be emotionally hurt , self esteem will be lowered --> a scar in their heart , no friends & they'll not know how to face the world when they grow up. can you afford to compensate all this?

to be objective,though i'm not a teacher & i may not be able to understand all the stress & anger they faced but as an outsider it's defintely not the correct thing to do this to a child! right?!

Met up with pknh2 last sat,played games at mind cafe! FUN! hehe! N was super hilarious & he lightened up the atmosphere! it's nice to have a friend like him! had dinner tgt with li hwee and KH and had a long chat with them! hehe! made a decision and a conclusion is made and it's carried out! somehow,i felt a sense of relief! (:
hopefully, this is what i really want! :p

i'm still young, it's alright to "waste" some time figuring out what i actually want. passion, interest is something that is able to motivate me to another level in life. it might be totally different from the real world! so what? haha! if you dont try , you'll never know! (: i will go for it coz i know clearly that if it's something that i really like,no matter what,i will perserve to the end! that's me! :p

blindly doing something you dont like can actually make you feel so "empty" at the end of the day. it's when you slow down your pace & start reflecting your thoughts for the day, you will then begin to realise that you did not fulfil and achieve what you actually aim for in life.

everyone have different perspectives & goals in life , it differs from one to another, so it's important to know what you really want! (:

i love hong kong dramas! (: In my opinion,i think that hong kong drama has the best plot & actors/actress! know why?they dont always have those happily ever after ending..haha...hmmm... maybe they are more "real life'? :p mystery/police/action drama is the best,coz it'll stimulate your thinking,making you crack your brains too! But you'll learn something or gain some knowledge in return! heheee..hong kong guys are much more pleasant looking than taiwan,korea or japan guys!

enjoying my break before i find a permanent job! hehe..but hope this break wont be a long one (: hopefully it will be a short one....it's important to be optismistic when finding a job and most importantly be happy coz only when you're than luck will be on your side and you'll get a job! :p thanks besties for this! Happy Father's Day! haha! went to Tung Lok at Arena Country Club to have dinner with relatives, grandpa and grandma... (: i think the food is ok ok only? but there's something i must mention, the steamed fish is super fresh,i'm not a fish lover but i love it,the meat is really very tender! (:

hehe.. i love the dessert ! ~ soy pudding with avocado sauce, it taste great! soy complements well with the avocado, good combination and it's not too sweet! i like it! sense of happiness when i ate it! hehe :p

Haha! ended my temp job as an admin assistant at a "legal sector" TODAY !! i spent 1/4 of the year working there! it seems so long! time passed very fast this year! learnt quite alot of stuffs related to law!

admin might sound boring and so office-bounded! indeed,it's very office-bounded! haha! it actually depends on how one look at it! haha! i prefer no shift work, i might just fall asleep if i'm working night shift! (: hehe!

i enjoyed working there as i find the joy in what i'm doing! the people there are friendly & interesting! lots of fun though it's just data entry, filing & "ringing up people"! haha! :p

get to know a very nice colleague, didnt get to speak & interact much with him but just feel that he's super reserved (shy?) though he has a very very gangster look & he's full of vulgarities! i respect him a lot coz he's so himself when he's at work! it's something good i think! thumbs up! (; hehe, he's super funny & cute too, he's likes to smile to himself and his laugh is so unique! perhaps he's a good role model to learn from! :D

i'll miss the cute "aunty",she's really really cute! blur at times and she trusted L and me so much & gave us advices & opportunities! THANK YOU! haha! lastly,she treated us like her own girl,so nice of her! (:

Short yet Sweet gathering with XXX , lunch-ed at iluma at chef daniel's kitchen. we had the 3-course meal (main course , soup & dessert ) & a drink too! It's $10.50 nett :p i think it's quite worth it , good service & ambient and the food taste not bad too(:

our next stop is the arcade! haha! when blanket & bed entered the arcade , they suddenly transformed into small kids! haha! so adorable & funny of them! they were trying their best to win more tickets in exchange for prizes! so sweet of bed! she used the tickets to exchange for a disney notebook , a notebook to record down what we did for our outings! (:

hehe...to me, the most interesting game in the arcade is still the "spot the difference game"! it's challenging! ( test how fast your eyes can detect the differences between 2 pictures!) i realised it's a bit different now, there isn't mirror image pictures last time but now, it has. (: interesting.. as it made me more confused but it's more challenging!

Sick for the past few days - down with a heavy flu, sore throat and a very bad cough, the cough is so bad that i feel like my lungs is gonna be coughed out. haha. i'm exaggerating, but it's quite true anyway! o.O

just hate to fall sick coz it's so unbearable especially at night, the body temperature suddenly rises so high that you feel as if your body is BURNING! The worse thing is that you cant get to sleep and you'll toss left right up down in your bed trying hard to fall asleep!

Hehe..but i'm happy that i'm feeling way much better now! hehe.hopefully, i will fully recover by the end of this week! (:

went marina barrage with hohoho,hapi and her friends and her friends' friends last saturday!(: it's super duper windy at the top and it made me feel so relaxed! wOOO... lots of kites were "flying" in the sky and some of the kites tlzs! the scenery is beautiful! didnt get to fly the kite! :/ it gives me an excuse to go there again! hehe(:

wanted to make a kite since last year?! it's 2010 and i havent make a kite yet! O.0 HAHAHA! there were many kites but they looked similar and most of them looked like stingray to me? there were also fishes,eagle and octopus! haha! big head and a tiny tail? any reason why? gravity?haha! i guess i will need to do some research before making a kite! hahaha! i shall make a "prawn kite"! hehe. hopefully,by this year i will finish making it! =p

today is the last day of Chinese new year! i made tang yuan! hehe! 6 different colours! pink , light green , light brown ( yellow & purple) , orange , (purple & pink = violet?) & purple! little cousin made it together with me! (: hope that after eating all these tang yuan every ones' life will be filled with lots of colours this year! =p haha, the tang yuan is not very round , but it's the thoughts that counts! hehe. (:

i still prefer those traditional tang yuan (no fillings) over those tang yuan with fillings! i'm wondering if the market has those tang yuan added with fruit juices in the skin and has fruits as their fillings and have a burst in the mouth effect?! hmm...how will it taste like? =p haha.
